V10893 (Senior Network Design Engineer)
Are you looking for your next challenge? We are currently recruiting for a Senior Network Design Engineer to join our Rail team in Warwick - although you can work remotely.

SME for complex networks (IP/MPLS, Firewalls)
Provide guidance to the network design and implementation
Regular updates of the NRT Design Tool
Organise and attend inter disciplinary reviews to verify design concepts will work as expected
Ensure designs are completed in line with program requirements
Produce all design drawings and documentation
Produce Bill of Materials associated with designs
Provide technical support to team members
Produce initial equipment configurations to enable staging and testing activities
Collate and produce as-built documentation and associated test results
Report progress at regular intervals to programme manager and customerRole responsibilities:
Deliver design packs for Network Rail Telecommunications (SOD, ID, ND and SD)
Create circuit designs and input into the Network Rail Cramer database
Consult for design engineers to resolve circuit and design queries
Interpret CAS requests and translate to Cramer circuits
Create and update Visio drawings to delivery network designs
Assist and mentor junior team members, specifically in the use of NRT toolsEssential skills:
Engineering degree or equivalent.
Cisco, Juniper certified (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE desirable).
Other Rail related certification a bonus (Electrical works, Signalling systems etc).
Excellent knowledge in telecoms transmission design and MPLS/IP networking
Knowledge of Network Rail Telecoms tools such as NRDT, Cramer desirable
Experienced in Microsoft Visio Drawing
Knowledge Microsoft Office 365 applications, SharePoint, Teams, etc.Excellent employee benefits:
