Job Description

You are likely to be working on a national programme to empower and support young people at risk of serious violence to be able to access employment-related opportunities and help them develop the skills they need to make a successful transition into work.

The programme seeks to achieve three key outcomes, a reduction in risk factors and increase in protective factors for serious violence; demonstrable progress in the distance travelled towards employment; and improvements in overall physical and mental well-being.

The Coordinator role is central to partnership development. Our Regional Coordinators will help navigate and co-ordinate the local landscape of support available for the young people on the programme, engaging local business forums and aiding the connection of local partners and opportunities to the delivery team. The Coordinators will be allocated specific Local Authorities and will be responsible for establishing referral pathways with relevant partners such as Violence Reduction Units and the Jobcentre Plus. These pathways will ensure that the programme engages with participants from disadvantaged and minority backgrounds and help tackle workforce inequalities within local areas. Coordinators will also navigate and coordinate the local landscape for support from small and local organisations available to young people on the programme. They will engage in local business networks to identify specific skills gaps and new employment-related opportunities and provide a gateway to national opportunities with the support of the National Account Manager.

We are looking for experienced Regional Coordinator/Partnership Managers that are proactive, compassionate and driven to support our goal of improving social mobility through sourcing opportunities for individuals who need extra support to access the world of work. Due to the nature of this role, knowledge and experience of the issues vulnerable young people with complex needs face is essential. Regional Coordinators will also require a strong level of local knowledge and connection, so they have the necessary local credibility and cultural competence to hit the ground running with referral and delivery partners.

We seek a diverse workforce and therefore are open to a range of backgrounds and experience however seek an individual who is proactive, organised and resilient to deal with the varying demands of the role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Establishing referral pathways with relevant partners such as VRUs and the Job Centre Plus network
Navigating and co-ordinating the local landscape of support available for the young people on the programme, brokering a range of opportunities which can include employment, traineeships, education/training, work experience etc.
Engaging local business networks to identify employment-related opportunities alongside those provided through the National Account Manager
Facilitating the matching of young people with opportunities in the local authority areas that they cover, responsible for the generation of self-sourced leads and employer contacts in order to build a pipeline of opportunities
Ability to build local networks, including LEPs, through participation in professional networking and maintain knowledge of local labour markets
Work in collaboration with Career Coaches to support young people into work-related opportunities, to include screening candidates, understanding the caseload needs, conducting group assessments/events etc.
Organising, facilitating and delivering recruitment events including jobs fairs, roundtables, employer summit's
Responsibility for account managing employers, educational establishments and others who can offer progression opportunities and recording all details on CRM
Qualifications

You will be working in a national team to ensure the project successfully engages young people with multiple and complex barriers to engagement.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Significant experience in a partnership management, recruitment, account management, customer centric capacity
Exceptional relationships management skills; Ability to engage and communicate with a range of stakeholders
Passion to support young people in achieving their goals and experience of successfully engaging young people with multiple and complex barriers to engagement
Ability to positively challenge mind-sets
