Due to their continued growth our client is recruiting for a Recruitment Assistant/Resourcer to join their extremely busy HR Team. You will be the main point of contact for the businesses hiring managers and be capable of managing a high volume of roles in a very fast paced environment.
This role provides administrative recruitment support to the business and ensures an efficient and effective secretarial, administrative and clerical service as part of the HR Team. The successful candidate will also undertake other tasks as required as part of this team.
The role is permanent full time working 35 hours Monday - Friday based in Darlington and reports to the Group HR Manager.
Administering end to end recruitment processes i.e. checking of right to work, job advertising, onboarding, assisting with interviews, new starter paperwork and processing of leavers
* Creation of contracts and offer letters
* Liaising with the IT and Fleet departments regarding equipment and vehicle requirements for staff
* Liaising with the training department to ensure effective communication across both departments
* Providing administrative support and general assistance to the HR Team on a range of activities
* Undertake other HR Administration activities linked to; starters and leavers, general HR Admin, updating and maintenance of people related systems, recruitment, training, payroll, benefits etc
* Respond proactively to queries received either verbally or in writing
* Administration of emails, correspondence, telephone calls and electronic filing
* Administration of the holiday process
* Input, update and maintain the HR database accurately
* Manage HR documentation in line with GDPR
* Ability to listen to and understand queries, handle within remit of the role and escalate where appropriate
* Supports managers and employees; providing basic advice and guidance as required
* Any other ad hoc tasks that may be required
* Providing information to support monthly reporting
Personal qualities, experience and skills
* Recruitment experience essential
* Strong administration skills
* Confident use of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Email
* Able to demonstrate strong writing and verbal skills
* Must have a polite and professional telephone manner
* Resilient and confident
* Driven to ensure that all activities are delivered on time and as required
* Proactive with effective time management and prioritising
* Strong team player
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Attention to detail
* Able to make effective decisions quickly and know when to escalate
* Administrative experience gained in a fast moving, detail focused environment
* The ability to build strong relationships and using your own initiative is essential
