Mechanical Project Manager
My client who was established in 1997, are an established Air Conditioning, mechanical and electrical installation contractor.
Principally they work for Principle Contractor's and End user's, consisting of multi-disciplined turnkey projects.
The candidate and role
We're looking to take on board someone with experience and have worked previously in commercial buildings and have a rounded experience when it comes to HVAC (Heating, ventilation & Air Conditioning).
Equally, if would be advantageous if the right person has been involved with the following works:
* Air Conditioning - VRV, Splits, Close Control types of air conditioning + Chilled Water Systems
* Mechanical Ventilation Systems
* Plumbing, boiler and heating works
* BMS Systems • Builderswork fit out knowledge - Dry lining of walls/partitioning, raised modular floors, suspended ceilings, forming concreting bases for M & E type equipment Electrical Works - Lighting, small power,
* First Aid at work - 3 days SMSTS - Site Managers safety training scheme ONC/HVC Building Services Engineering Autocad
* Preferable Design Skills - Heat Load Calcs and ventilation Job
* Contract Management of the secured Contracts
* Maintaining the contract file
* Project Planning
* Programming Projects
* Obtaining sub - contractor and supplier quotes
* Issuing of orders to sub - contractors and suppliers
* Ensuring the sub-contractor used on specific contract have completed the necessary H & S questionnaire and we have received all relevant documentation
* Monthly approval of invoices and recorded on cost control sheet
* Leasing with clients
* To visit site regularly to check the progress of the works and that the quality and materials are in keeping with the specified standard. Attending sites to monitor Project progress
* Overseeing installation works through to commissioning to handover to the client
* Raising and agreeing applications for payment and invoicing
* Maintaining Contract costings and work in progress records
* Producing Method and Risk Assessments for work
* Undertaking works in line with Company H & S policy
* Marking up and keep up to date working drawings
* Producing Operational and Maintenance Manuals
* Preparing Health & Safety Files/ Construction Phase Health & safety Plans to comply with CDM Regulations 2015
Salary - £40,000 - 50,000.00 (dependant of experience)
Car Allowance - £4,800.00 - £5,400.00
Mobile Phone - A mobile phone will be provided for company use
IT - A laptop will be provided for company use
Holidays - 25 Days excluding bank holidays, a minimum of three days from the entitlement need to be used for Christmas for the company 'shutdown'
Hours of work - 09:00am to 17:30 Monday to Friday. No overtime will be paid, candidate will be expected to, within reason, work from time to time additional hours as workload dictates
