We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Logistics and Planning Manager to join a Tamworth based, global manufacturing and logistics automotive cable business.

Role responsibilities:

Ensuring that Manufacturing unit (India) have received and understood the medium term customer schedules and have built and shipped sufficient goods (150 products) to meet same. Taking into account:
Target safety stock levels in UK and Slovenia.
Variable sea freight lead times.
End of life and design change events and scrappage.
The need to minimise air freight charges.
Receiving and interpreting customer EDI schedules to create weekly dispatch plans for inspection and re-packing teams.
Ensuring sufficient (returnable) packaging is requested and supplied to fulfil customer orders.
Maintaining customer stock reconciliations of returnable containers to avoid excessive charges.
Managing team of Sales order processing colleagues creating dispatch documentation, ASNs and invoices. Requesting necessary export documents form agents.
Checking, auditing and correcting perpetual stock reports for all items in warehouse.
Maintaining accurate stock records to support Inward Processing relief system to minimize cost of import/export tariffs.
Reporting to management critical supply situations and working towards solutions.
Preventing customer concerns resulting from labelling, packaging, quantity or delivery timing issues
Experience required:

Oracle ERP experience (strongly desired)
