In this role you will develop in-house integrity management capability and be a subject matter expert, specifying and coordinating integrity related project activities for various clients.
You will provide integrity assurance including undertaking audits, making recommendations and implementing improvements
You will control and administer all process and functional safety Operating Parameters.
You will manage and deliver Pipeline In Line Inspection (ILI) and Storage Tank Inspection programmes, analyse findings, investigate and identify repair works.
Maintain fitness for purpose and availability of emergency pipeline repair equipment eg. pipeline clamps
Provide input into Capex Maintenance project requirements.
Subject matter expert in delivery of Pipeline In Line Inspections (ILI) and allocated projects in accordance with Company procedures
Application of ILI results in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for pipeline activities and phasing of expenditure.
Tank Inspections coordination & analysis
Liaising with CP maintainers.
Input into Pipeline Integrity management plans, raising capital requests and developing Capex plans
Liaising with Engineering Project Managers on their progress in delivering Integrity related activities.
Managing process and functional safety Operating Parameter records, including current set-points; Management of Change (MoC) documents, reviews & gap analyses, plant to be commissioned etc. providing a system so that all BPA staff (who may require information and could also be part of an Audit) know how to access set-points and related management documents.
Ensuring emergency pipeline repair equipment held (eg. pipeline clamps) is fit for purpose
Assist in incident investigation and emergency response
Undertaking audits/ reviews and delivering training & coaching.
Providing expertise in trouble shooting and rectification on pipeline and process plant integrity.
Working with a wide variety of people with different experience and aptitudes across company functions eg. Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians, 3rd parties and contractors
Working with people from other internal departments eg. meetings and direct communications.
Contact with technical representatives of suppliers and service providers
Networking with clients, other Industry contemporaries and Regulatory bodies (eg. UKOPA, HSE and EA) in order to continually develop integrity expertise.
Knowldge and Experience
Chartered Mechanical Engineer (or similar discipline)
Experience in analysing, reporting and presenting technical information.
Experience of Project Coordination and Project Engineering activities
Knowledge of plant integrity and safety legislation ideally gained from working within a process related industry
