Junior Import Co-ordinator
An opportunity has arisen for a "Junior Import Co-ordinator" to work on a temporary 9-month contract.
They will be acting as maternity cover, with the possibility to make the position permanent at the end of this term.
We are a new business set up specifically to manage the new customs clearance processes for European road freight importing perishables post Brexit.
This role will be an excellent opportunity for someone with existing experience or someone looking to gain some experience within the industry.
The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be willing to learn new things and prioritise their workload. Attention to detail is a must.
Role responsibilities include:
Preparing customs entries and reporting to relevant authorities.
Obtain and communicate, internally and externally, all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met.
Certificate submissions for relevant governing bodies using online portals.
Being point of contact for customer queries and status updates.
Managing the shared inbox. Replying to e-mails and chasing queries.
Checking incoming invoices to ensure they include all the necessary information.
Keeping various trackers up to date.
Previous office experience is desirable, but not essential.
Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft software.
Must be well organised with great attention to detail.
Good communication skills and confidence when speaking on the phone.
Ability to work well under pressure and able to prioritise their own workload.
£18k - £22k
08:00 - 17:00
5 days a week. Monday to Friday whilst training, moving to Saturday to Wednesday once training is complete (including weekends)
