Seeking an IT Technical Engineer to join a friendly and professional IT Support, Services and Solutions business providing technology solutions from the major global brands (including Microsoft, HP, and Cisco). Annual salary of c£32,000 per annum plus pension and flexible benefits (gym, parking etc). Working hours are 09:00-17:30, Monday-Friday with flexibility required to cover activities within core hours of 08:00-18:00. Hybrid office and home working.
You will provide support to clients directly, and to other members of the teams in house. Providing account management to a group of customers, you will provide solutions, design, and manage projects, and progress the commercial development of the organisation. Your knowledge and experience should be at an intermediate level and seeking to constantly develop your skills further.
As an IT Technical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Acting as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) for several customers. Building a strong working relationship with the customer and attending regular reviews, contributing to the development of their strategy and roadmap, identifying commercial opportunities, dealing with escalations, and providing and updating client documentation.
Being the technical member of project teams for Office Fit-Outs, Server Replacements, Office365 Migrations, User Moves and PC Upgrades etc.
Creating and maintaining documentation to assist other teams & to create and update configuration details for clients where TAM responsibility is given.
Assisting the Client Account Managers in the creation of Statement of Works.
Carrying out workshop activity such as PC setups.
Supporting other Technical Engineers and internal teams where needed to ensure success.
Assisting colleagues and mentor Junior Engineers and Apprentices with continual learning and growth.
We are looking for an IT Technical Engineer who has the following skills and experiences:
Proven support experience in a similar environment.
Intermediate level of technical experience especially knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office2013/2016/2019, Microsoft365 technologies (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive) keeping abreast of new developments.
Exposure to Windows Server 2012/2016 and 2019, including Active Directory, File Permissions, DHCP/DNS services, Backup & Recovery and Group Policy, Networking (Switches & Access Points) and Internet Connectivity solutions (Routers and Firewalls).
Proven experience in a customer facing role.
Ability to explain information in a professional manner to clients of differing levels of knowledge.
Understanding of incident management, problem management, change and configuration management.
Understanding and worked with customer SLAs and KPIs.
Able to quickly learn and demonstrate a genuine interest in new technologies.
Ability to schedule tasks, meet deadlines, work unsupervised and set/follow procedures.
Industry standard qualifications are desirable e.g., Microsoft.
