Are you looking for a rewarding career within a variety of Stoke-on-Trent secondary schools?
Have you considered teacher training, but first want to gain valuable hands on experience in a classroom?
Due to the demand now that our schools have re-opened this September, Academics are looking to expand our cohort of Education Practitioners (also known as Cover Supervisors) for our partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent.
What is a Education Practitioner (Cover Supervisor)?
Education Practitioners are used in secondary schools to provide cover for a class when a teacher is not available. They are employed on a flexible and day-to-day basis to ensure that a teacher can have time away from the classroom to carry out other duties (planning, assessment, or training days). They may also cover lessons for teachers who are away from school due to sickness or for other absences. An Education Practitioner is not responsible for planning or assessing a lesson. The class teacher will set work for students to complete and the Education Practitioner will ensure that pupils remain on task.
