Earthworks Engineer for Earthworks, Drainage and Infrastructure. On a busy site the work involves Earthworks, Drainage, Groundworks and Infrastructure on a new build commercial development. This is an additional site role to support the Project Manager whose role will be more office based.
You
will be required to set the grade lasers for the earthmoving plant, on a daily basis
must have your own laptop with AutoCAD installed
must be fully conversant with robotic survey equipment
need to be pro-active
must provide ongoing surveys of the different levels as work proceeds
need to be available for some weekend work
should live within one hour's travel of Dunstable to minimise travel times
This project involves extensive Civils and Infrastructure works and one of the primary requirements is for someone who is capable of accurately setting out for topsoil strip, earth bunds, drainage, excavation, infrastructure and drainage. You will be site based in the Contractors' site offices and will be expected to coordinate with the Project Manager on the day to day operations, contributing to weekly programmes and material deliveries.
An Engineering background is essential, and a formal Engineering qualification would be preferred, though the ability to read drawings and schedules, accurately transferring this information to site is essential.
