Development Manager - Developer
Salary - Up to £60,000 + Package
About the Company:
Our client is a dynamic developer of residential projects around southern England. Predominantly specialising in brownfield developments, their highly experienced team provide solutions to a variety of difficult and sensitive land situations. Our client successfully navigates the complex planning system, applying meticulous attention to detail throughout the design process whilst utilising their close working relationships with local authorities. Their ability to identify and control sites has resulted in our track record in the development of brownfield opportunities to be second to none.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the management of our client's new and ongoing projects, the preparation of reports and proposals to secure new business, the management of the delivery and implementation of new bid proposals. Development input on new and existing projects and with new and existing clients, presenting and reporting to senior management.
·Responsibility for the provision of necessary due diligence and assistance to land department in preparation of bid documents both pre-submission, post acceptance and throughout the site acquisition process and thereafter during the planning, construction and/or sale process.
·Management of the required commercial, technical and planning input from the appropriate external & internal departments.
·Input into site acquisition process & technical analysis of key assumptions.
·Appointment & Management of professional valuations for projects, consultant teams and appointed main contractors where appropriate.
·Management and development of ongoing client, consultant and agency relationships.
·Development and continued genesis of reporting procedures and structures.
·Contribution to internal company procedures and to company strategy in respect of all development solutions work.
·Reporting to the Land Director in respect of all matters.
About the Requirements:
·Working knowledge of residential and mixed-use development process from inception through to completion.
·Must be able to demonstrate experience of all stages of the development process including the management of planning, procurement and delivery.
·Experience in a 'client side' residential housing and/or mixed use development environment.
·Experienced in JCT Design & Build form of contract
·A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to challenging deadlines
