Control Systems Engineer
Control Systems Engineer required, immediate start, for an innovative industrial automation solutions provider based in Ruislip. The company offers complete and bespoke controls designs to its' customers, and as the Control Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design and deployment of material handling systems, delivering design and engineering of PLC and safety software, with strong multidisciplinary awareness including EM, IT and SCADA. The successful Control Systems Engineer will be able to perform the role on a partially remote basis and will need to have relevant industry experience in the Automotive, Aviation, Warehouse or Food Manufacturing sectors.
The Control Systems Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
Design, configure, test, validate and commission PLC software logic and systems.
PLC programming with a strong knowledge of ladder logic.
Perform debug and buyoff of controls functions and systems.
Integrate/interface 3rd party equipment.
Design and develop control panels and manufacturing equipment.
Design electrical and control wiring schematics.
HMI design and programming.
Establish and support updates of controls standards.
Provide on-site user training.
Understand, develop and produce Health & Safety Design Risk Assessments for automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100What experience you will need as a Control Systems Engineer:
5+ years in material handling, automation, machine design and/or complex data collection
PLC programming and development; Contrologix or Siemens would be desirable
